On 28 October 2025, the Centre contributed to the organization of the Round Table on: “Promoting Common Values between the European Union and Latin America: Fostering an Inclusive and Effective Multilateral System in a Globalised World.”
Keynote speakers included: Prof. Leonardo Pasquali (Director of EU4GlobalOrder, University of Pisa), Prof. Tarin Cristino Frota Mont’Alverne (Chair Holder of the Jean Monnet Chair “Transition”, Federal University of Ceará – UFC), Prof. Raquel Machado Malenchini (UFC), Prof. Emmanuel Furtado Filho (UFC)
The Round Table brought together students, academics, and civil society stakeholders for an open and insightful discussion on the EU–Latin America relationship. The debate focused on how shared values can act as enablers for a more equitable, inclusive, and effective multilateral system.
This event also marked the first official activity of the Jean Monnet Projects Hub, and was organised in partnership with the Jean Monnet Chair “Transition” at the Federal University of Ceará (Brazil).
