On 31 October 2025, the Centre supported the Inaugural Conference of the Jean Monnet Module “EUMer”, recently launched at the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB).
During the event, Prof. Leonardo Pasquali, Director of the Centre, delivered a lecture addressing one of the Centre’s primary research domains: the role of the EU–Mercosur Agreement in strengthening international environmental governance, with a particular focus on its implications for transnational sustainability frameworks.
The Conference included high-profile speakers, including: Dr. Johannes Bloos (Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany), Prof. Marcilio França Filho (Coordinator of the EUMer Module), Prof. Hilderberto Barbosa Filho, Prof. Maria das Neves França.
