On Friday, 17 April 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m., in the prestigious venue of Aula Magna Storica of the Palazzo della Sapienza (with online option), the Centre of Excellence EU4GlobalOrder will host the event “The EU–Mercosur Agreement: Opportunities and Challenges”.
The initiative aims to foster an interdisciplinary discussion on the recently concluded trade agreement of the European Union, offering a broad analysis addressed to multiple professional communities. The event is promoted by the Interest Group of the Italian Society of International Law and European Union Law (SIDI) “International and Supranational Organizations” and the Interdepartmental Research Centre on Nutraceuticals and Food for Health (NUTRAFOOD) of the University of Pisa. It is also promoted by the Professional Association of Health Technicians of Radiology and Technical, Rehabilitation and Prevention Health Professions of the Pisa–Livorno–Grosseto area, whose members will benefit from insights relevant to their respective fields.
The conference represents a recognized training activity for several professional categories. It is accredited by the Italian National Bar Council (4 non-divisible continuing education credits, available both in person and online), by the Italian Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts (7 non-divisible credits), and by the Order of Agronomists and Forestry Doctors of the Provinces of Pisa–Lucca–Massa Carrara (0.625 credits).
The initiative is organized in cooperation with the Centre of Excellence “EU Actions for Sustainable Farming and Food Systems – SUSTAIN” at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies and is part of the Jean Monnet Project Hub of the Centre.
Among the speakers will be Members of the European Parliament, an official from the Embassy of Uruguay to the European Union, as well as Brazilian, Argentine, and Italian academics.
