Project summary

The Centre of Excellence EU4GlobalOrder has been conceived as a focal point of expertise and knowledge on the EU’s contribution to the strict observance and development of international law through the promotion of its core values, namely those listed in Art. 2 TEU. In particular, the Centre aims to advance teaching, research and public engagement on how the Union, by promoting its values within the EU, but also in the wider world, contributes to the development of, and respect for, international law, in particular by promoting sustainable development and the reform of the multilateral system to make it more inclusive and effective, thus raising students’ and citizens’ awareness of the role of the Union not only inside the Union itself, but also in the wider world. The EU4GlobalOrder Centre has a collaborative, interdisciplinary and transnational vocation. It will promote activities and events addressed not only to students at different levels and academics of different nationalities, but also to the civil society at large: Teaching courses; Seminars; Winter Schools; Training courses; Roundtable Debates; Conferences; Multilateral Simulation Exercise; International Policy Workshop; Events for high school students, Workshop for high school teachers. The research activities of the Centre will result in papers submitted to scientific journals, a collective book, educational videos, multimedia contents, reports with suggestions to translate the project’s main findings into new policies and improved practices. The Centre includes the launch of a blog, a podcast-series, a bimonthly newsletter, and the production of content for social media profiles.
